Animation of Daily Ozone Maps

An animation of daily ozone maps from January 1, 1991, until May 10, 1991, showing a major ozone anomaly of more than 525 Dobson Units from February 20 through 22 north of Mt. Pinatubo in the Philippines. The the Brewer-Dobson and Hadley circulations could move the ozone anomaly northward but the rates are unknown. The total ozone anomaly is based on the satellite borne Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer (TOMS) integrated with data from ground stations (Environment Canada, 2013).
