Cooling Caused by Volcanic Eruptions Appears to Accumulate

Modeled sea level change suggests an accumulation of cooling caused by large volcanic eruptions (Krakatoa and Pinatubo VEI =6, Agung and El Chichón VEI=5). The annual time series is shown of global-mean sealevel change due to thermal expansion using the HadCM3 model with volcanic forcing only.
