Ozone and Temperature at Faraday Station on the Antarctic Penninsula

Plot of total column ozone and temperature on the Antarctic Penninsula since 1950.

At Faraday/Vernadsky Research Base on the Antarctic Peninsula, total column ozone has decreased since 1958, maximum temperatures have remained nearly constant, but minimum temperatures have warmed.

(a) Ozone levels at the Faraday/Vernadsky station (1958–2005). (b) Minimum monthly temperatures at the Faraday station (January 1951–December 2004). From Figures 1a and 6a in Hughes et al. (2007).
